After we did about 6 takes, we listened through and all agreed that take 3 was the one.

That makes 11 songs tracked in four days. Mike and Tod did an incredible job, and that makes it a wrap on basic tracking. Now it’s on to more overdubs and vocals!

1 marca - dzień piąty w Shirk Studios w Chicago:

Today is the first day in the next phase of the album, if that makes sense. The body of the record is all there, and things are feeling like they’re in really good shape.
So by the end of Day 5 we have 4 complete songs in the can, vocals and all. 7 more in really good shape are just waiting for lead vocals and perhaps a couple of harmonies here and there.
