Prowadząca wokalistka żeńskiej grupy the Marvelettes, znanej z przeboju "Please Mr. Postman", wydanej przez wytwórnię Motown latem 1961 roku.
Choć później nagrały wiele innych piosenek, ta była ich największym przebojem: wspięła się na szczyt listy przebojów Billboardu, stając się pierwszym popowym przebojem nr 1 w historii Motown, i czyniąc The Marvelettes gwiazdami wytwórni. Horton śpiewała w the Marvelettes do 1967 roku. Zmarła 26 stycznia w wieku 66 lat.
